Will you become a Friend?
Chicago is home to over 500 parks and we're devoted to one in particular. The Friends of Holstein Park (FOHP) is a group of committed individuals who donate our time, money and creative talents toward the goal of maintaining and enhancing Holstein Park, near Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood.
Do you live near the park? Do you play frisbee on the great open lawn? Do you take your children to the pool in the summer time? Do you attend the Circus in the Parks or the Apple Pie Contest? Do you play league sports in the fieldhouse? Would you like to connect with other wonderful friends and neighbors?
Volunteers Needed
FOHP organizes community events throughout the year including; Family Valentine's Dance, Teen Valentine's Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Bucktown Apple Pie Contest and Circus in the Park. None of these events would be possible without the efforts of people like you. From helping to sell popcorn to hanging posters, volunteering at a FOHP event is a great way to support this amazing community resource while at the same time connecting with your friends and neighbors.

Advisory Board
The FOHP Advisory Board is also in need of new members. Our board organizes events, writes grants, petitions our legislators and works with the park to define and meet goals for improvements.
We need Advisory Board Volunteers now, more than ever. Chicago Park District budget short falls mean even less funding for the park. Board Members work to get equipment to the park and increase programming to better serve our community. Positions are available as Holstein Park liaison, Friends of the Park liaison, publicist and marketing coordinator.
