2011 Fundraising Extravaganza!
So where does all the money that I donate go? Well, we're glad you asked!
Donated funds support park programming and equipment needed at the park. For example, FOHP purchased music equipment, including guitars, drums and amps for park music classes.
Field House Renovation
We also work with the Chicago Park District and our legislators for major park renovations. In 2006 our efforts paid off as we helped to fund a complete rehab of the playground on the north side of Holstein Park.
Our current goal is to help the Parks District acheive a 2 million dollar renovation of the historic Holstein Park field house.
We Heart the Park
We have also purchased air conditioners, printers and shades for the gym, in addition to much more. Funds also put on events like the Family Valentine's Dance, Teen Valentine's Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Bucktown Apple Pie Contest and Circus in the Park.
